Ingredients

1 loaf challah or brioche bread, sliced (about 1-inch thick)

Instructions

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and corn syrup until smooth. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

Whisk eggs, half-and-half, vanilla, salt, and optional flavorings in a large bowl. Pour evenly over bread.
